Ahhh, that's right! I forgot they said they loaded the entire level into memory for KZ2! Now, they can stream all that data in as needed. That definitely makes sense. I don't know why I was thinking they already had a streaming engine in place for all of that...lol!

It's funny. Now, GG is probably just where Naughty Dog was with Uncharted 2 (100% CPU usage...i.e. no CPU cycles left). I wonder how much they optimized their code on top of that. They could still have plenty of room for code optimizations (like ND said after UC2 development). It really is impressive, what the PS3 is capable of!

I'm definitely going to play the single player campaign with the Move. Now I have to practice by getting back to the story mode in Time Crisis, which I didn't care for(bought this game for the Arcade versions), but now I have a motivation.

I nearly put my PS3 onto remote access so I could start the download from my PSP at work, but I can't guarantee a decent connection so left it. I doubt I'll get onto the beta till later tonight anyway so I'll just download it when I get home - like everyone else will be; cue very slow download speed

So do we know what time the UK is getting the beta? if we get it same time as the US thats 10am Pacific, whats that in GMT about 5-6pm or something?

I read that it is available 11am GMT! I wont be getting it til tonight afterwork.. Cant wait to try it in 3D and with the Move!!

I'll charge up my Move and Navigator while it downloads and I might just jump in at the deep end and use them from the start - best way to get used to them, otherwise I'll get too used to the pad!

That will also provide an excellent reason for being totally pwned to begin with

500,000 kills in just under 2 hours play since the beta started!!

Bageara, you are responsible for a fair few of those no doubt!

There are server issues at the moment so some of you might experience problems! (according to twitter)

The two classic maps will be available to purchase for those that didn't get the special edition. No price or date, but presumably day one DLC.

GG had some server problems earlier but all fixed now but I guess that's the whole point of this beta, iron out the remaining faults prior to launch day!

Is it home time yet...?
