The only components that I'm not completely happy with now are my speakers. I have a 5.1 set-up using Boston Acoustics speakers. Not terrible but it could be better. Eventually I plan to go 7.1 with Definitive speakers and move my BA's into the living room.

My 3-year old Sony receiver does not support HDMI. The Denon I want to replace it with is $1200.

The only part of my setup I am really not happy with right now are my speakers. They are one of the very first Yamaha 5.1 speaker setups, got it about 10 years ago. It's seriously lagging behind the rest of my setup. Thinking about getting Polk or Klipsch speakers next year.

None of what I have makes me unhappy. If your home theater hardware is making you sad, then you lead a blessed life

What does make me somewhat sad is that I am soon going to replace my trusty Sony BD-S1. It is a true horse as a standalone. Keeping FW current, I have never had a single issue with any BD I have fed it. I blame Sony for not being forward thinking enough to allow my beloved BD player to support all lossless audio formats.

I agree. I love my S300 but I will be getting Sony's first Full Profile player that's not a PS3.

Honestly?

My eyes.

I'm quite short-sighted, and even though contacts work fine for me, they make my eyes very tired eventually. Having served in the artillery hasn't done wonders for my hearing, either.

Everything else I can always replace. But getting it all as perfect as possible is one way of making sure the hardware defects on my end are minimised.

No complaints about Sony 46" XBR4 LCD. It looks great even without being powered on.

Only complaint with PS3 is lack of DTS-HD MA decoding. But that's not a big deal because my audio setup is a crappy HTiB that doesn't have neither HDMI input nor decent speakers. Those are next year's goals to solve.

The couch is OK.

Oh, and I need a steering wheel for my GT5 Prologue. Waiting for this baby to come out.

The Logitech Driving Force Pro works GREAT with GT... I have mine set up on a rolling computer stand, with the wheel clamped to the keyboard tray, and the pedals on the bottom level.

This way, I can roll the wheel and pedals over to the couch, and drive in style! And still have the top surface available as a place to place a cold "beverage". I don't drink and drive, but it does add an additional degree of difficulty to GT.

I'm pissed that my Denon AVR-987 (2807) HDMI can't be upgraded from 1.1 to 1.3.
