Boy was I wrong. Lots of detail, but now from a large area and really makes sound move around the room better.

So my system is now complete (for now ). Studio 100s, CC690, ADP590s, and the Sub15. NAD T175 and M25, Panamax M5400PM (which did an incredible job as well getting rid of a pesky hiss and adding a little more dimension to the sound). Sources being the PS3, HDA2 HDDVD player and Rogers PVR.

So if I jumped in my Delorean and went back 10 years my system was Monitor 7V2, CC370V2, MiniMonitorV2, PW2200 powered by a Yahama receiver. Back then, I frequented Whitby Audio for my equipment and always dreamed of owning the Studio series, but never did I think I would put it together. 10 years later I have my dream system. Now I just need to get my butt in gear and finish the basement and start putting money away for the Runco LS5 projector. More dreams...
Congrats on the new ADP's, I just picked up a pair of Sig ADP 1's this week myself. They should be here next week. Now that I'm only using five channels I find I don't really miss the surround backs, the ADP's do a wonderful job at filling the room on they're own. When I get another two channels of amplification I think I'll try heights instead of surround backs. Right now I'm trying to downsize my system and go with a Sig bookshelf setup with dual Sub 15's. I'm glad your enjoying your new speakers and you've put together a very nice system. Do you think a single Sub 15 is going to be enough in your basement?

Default Paradigm Reference S8

I'd like to purchase a pair of s8 in gloss black but this is my dilema. I live in Hawaii and there are no dealers in the entire state (I know it sucks ).

When I called paradigm I was told that under their rules since I don't have in dealer in my state and I'm separted from the mainland by 2500+ miles it is ok for a dealer in the continental US to sell them to me via the telephone, and ship it (costs $350 each, ouch ).

My questions are as follows: what is the average street price of one, I think msrp is $4300 each, and second does anyone know of a dealer that gives a discount that way I can lessen the impact of $700 or more for shipping.

If not I'll just have to sell my signature center5 channel and switch to psb synchrony ones instead since these are now availble on the internet.

Thanks

Guys I heard the Studio 20 and liked it for stereo use. It's gonna be placed in my desk and will be placed close or the wall as the desk is against the wall.

1. Do you guys feel the Studio 20 would be perfect for my scenario since it is front ported...?

2. How does the Studio 20 compare to PSB Synchrony 2B...? Anyone heard both...?

Thanks

Default Ceiling Mount Studio 60's?

Has anyone here mounted their Studio 20's from the ceiling.

I have to do this for my Rear's in my new 5.1 Setup.

I am looking at Ominmout 30.0 CA and Omnimount 20.0.

Also Panavise 120240B.

My concerns are, can the speaker enclosure support them hanging from the top of the speaker.

The size of the mount to the speaker is large and my have to modify to support from the bottom.

Please let me know.

Don't worry, a lot of new starters will try to get your monitors.
