One of my favorites from the 80's makes a Blu-ray debut on 2/22/11.

This is definitely classic. I'm a little bit disappointed by the reviews regarding PQ, but so be it, gotta pick this up!

I've read 2 reviews this morning-- here and at DVD TALK and both reviews were totally "meh" as far as quality of the disc--

this is one of my favorite 80's pictures and I was so looking forward to this release-- as it stands I'll still buy it (just like Paramount is expecting fans to do-- "who cares if it's subpar, people will buy it anyway")

Not only does the cover art suck, but they've got Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy's names superimposed over the wrong actor.

I WAS excited for this one until I read the review(s). PQ looks bad and no features to boot.

Yeah, I might get this one down the road when it's around $10 or so, but not for the current price...

I wont buy this or any other Paramount disks until they get remastered with surround sound, either SDDS-8 or DTS-6.

I bought this used for $16 and way over-paid for it. I can't believe how bad the transfer was. I'd be willing to bet I can find DVDs of it with better quality... Or probaby a VHS for that matter. Seriously!. I'm not sure if the original has aged or is beyond repair, but this is sad. It is seldom in focus, the thing looks mudding throughout. There's wobble. There's completely washed out and grainy, fuzzy sections. Two and a half stars is way too nice. This is the worst quality blu-ray I own.

Save your money.

funny the disc says 2009 on it on the bottom, but it was released on blu in 2011

I'm not the biggest fan of the cover art either. The cast listing on the cover is silly, I agree, but it's always based on first billed - not how the cover art is designed. I didn't like the new design for the Legends of the Fall Blu either, some guy hammered it out in photoshop in ten minutes, inexplicably removing Julia Ormond's cover billing in the process.

It is strange, I was searching BestBuy.com this morning to see if my local BB was going to have copies of this release or not, and I cannot even find it on the website.

It appears they may not have it at all, at least on line that is. Hopefully the stores do. Has anyone else seen copies in store at their local BB?

Out of the over 800 blu rays I own, I would probably put this release in the bottom 10-15.

It just looks terrible and it has no features.
