We'll see if I actually catch it this time around, watched Serenity once or twice and didn't like it so I never checked out the show.

This is good news although it's unfortunate that Nathan Fillion won't be back.

Oh yeah, it's going to be utter $hit. I don't care who else is in it, it'll be awful. They had so many awesome actors on the show, but he made the show what it was.

Fillion may have made the original show work but they're redoing it now so it makes sense to move onto a new actor, curious to see what the cast for this one will look like.

Wait so this begins airing in under a month, nobody has heard anything about this and there's no mention of casting? Something tells me Croctopus will be better than this.

At first I thought it was fake but tons of other sites are posting it which doesn't mean much but it seems to be real. Wondering the same thing as we are getting a 2 hour pilot in in a month or 2 and no casting news or even anything about filming as that should be done by now to start airing the episodes.

It's so disappointing if its true. The cast is what made Firefly so great. I'm not interested in a reboot of it at all. Passing on this for sure if it turns out to be true.

Yeah without Fillion or anybody else Firefly is just a scifi show. The cast and characters are what made it the cult classic it is today.

Alright everyone, its not happening. That article was wrong:

Firefly is coming to cable, but its the original show. Not a reboot. Here's the article from Entertainment Weekly. Crisis averted.

OK thought so as I just couldn't believe we would get new episodes in under a month without getting any news prior. Sites reporting this are in for some major bashing from die hard Firefly fans.

Yes they are. All I could think when I read the original article is that it was quoting it wrong. It's only returning, not rebooting. Thank god. Man, I was super angry about it for a second....But I feel better now.

Yeah good thing I thought it was a bad idea in the first place or I would be mad right now if I got my hopes up. Never did see the original show actually but I loved Serenity and just need to pick Firefly up.

Dammit, the thread title got my hopes all up. Then they sunk when I saw that it was new cast/no Joss. Now they're even lower that it's all bunk and we're back to having just the original.

Need moar (Whedon/Fillion) Firefly!
