This was a pretty good movie. Not fantastic, but entertaining. Mickey Rourke is awesome as usual.

Very good movie. I have had it on preorder for awhile cant wait to get it. Also JGL rocked in it.

I think Jeffrey may have confused Elmore Leonard with James Ellroy.

Well, I can only say I made a mistake, sorry. I actually had taken notes on Leonard adaptations in my preparation for the review and then magically changed them to Ellroy films when I wrote it up. All fixed now.

Diane Lane quit showbiz for over 2 years when this movie got "shelved".

A shame it is a better movie than half the stuff out there that does get a big release.

Diane Lane, Rourke and Gordon Levitt are superb in it.

I think after his roles in movies like Inception, Lookout, 500 Day Of Summer, etc... Most people don't think of him as the 3rd Rock or Angels In The Outfield kid anymore or at least I don't. He has shown he is a true Hollywood talent and I hope to see him around for many years.

Weird. This one didn't work for me. I'm a huge Joseph Gordon-Levitt fan. He's a very likeable guy (Andrew Garfield has this quality too). But I sooo didn't buy him as a bad/tough guy/psycho. Not sure if he'll be a villain in "Batman" or not.

This is an example of the Weinsteins being their typical selves. They're willing to spend lots of money to get big budget movies made, then after it gets made they suddenly decide they either don't know how to market it or that it's nothing like they thought it would be and let it sit on the shelf (Outlander, Shanghi), then dump it into theaters without any fanfare (and most likely with their hands all over the editing) and lose a lot of money on it. Nice way to spend your money.

I just watched this movie on bluray and my God such a great movie. I wasn't expecting it to be as great as this!

Shame the Weinsteins screwed this one up on the theatrical release as it deserved FAR better. Good movie if anyone is sitting on the fence...

Diane Lane and Mickey Rourke are excellent in it too.
