Umm no, don't give in. the pleasure will be greater when it is mixed with patience.

If you really can't help yourself buy it used from ebay, that way it doesn't show up on the Nielsen scan or other sales trackers

I would hold off until CES. If Warner makes the decision everyone here is hoping for, than all good will come to blu.

If Warner chooses not to go blu exclusive at CES, you only waited a few weeks.

I would advise being patient and waiting at least until the end of January, we should have a good idea of WB's intentions by then for sure.

Since this is a Warner title, it will look exactly like the HD DVD, so I'm trying to figure out how it will be 1000X better on Blu-ray when it will be exactly the same.

Don't do it. BB will be out on Blu soon (hopefully) and to buy it on HD DVD is only helping prolong this war.

Look I know batman begins is good but its not worth investing in a future dead format for it and prolonging this war. The faster this war ends the faster will see batman begins on blu-ray.

It will look exactly the same.
The only difference I'm aware of is that the Blu-ray will have PCM.
It will be released on Blu-ray in May or June of 2008.
If someone already has HD DVD then it makes sense to buy this title, if they don't then it would be pretty foolish to buy into a format on its way out for a title that will be neutral next year.

Like he said. If it is your FAVORITE MOVIE EVER, and you already have HD DVD, do what you must. I only have Blu, so I will obviously wait for it.

How much is the HD DVD player needed to play it?

People are too quick to scream "troll". But the reason is there are now trolls that spend a month biting their tongue posting pro-Blu and then suddenly start posting "gee, maybe we should think about going purple" posts.

Fair or not, this is not a forum for discussing supporting HD DVD.

assuming you already have a hd dvd player, get it used so you don't add to the numbers and freak everyone here out. seems you'd end up buying the blu-ray version anyways
