All great choices but definitely missing. . .
Frank Marino. Easily forgotten by some and never really discovered by others. I personally remember his band Mahogany Rush from the 70's. Although l never remember listening to their music back then. He actually was the final act at the California Jam II in 1978, following Aerosmith's set.
I just recently rediscovered his music and am just completely at a loss as too how I missed out on his music back then. He released his first album at age 17 with his band Mahogany Rush in 1972. If you've never heard him play, you are truly missing out on one of the best rock guitarists you ever have the pleasure of listing to. And being Mahogany Rush was only a 3 piece band, whew! |
