I tried ordering online and it decline my card. I then went and pre-ordered it and put my deposit at my closest Game store. Now I see that the order I placed online has gone through. They are doing a midnight opening at my local Game store but I don't want this game bad enough to stay up that late for it.

I'm picking mine up on Saturday but I don't know where from. Tesco are having a 20% off games offer so I maybe able to get a decent price there. If not I'll probably get it from Asda as the mother-in-law works there and gets me 10% off!

Got around to playing KZ3 last night and ended up staying up most of the night playing the single player campaign to finish it. Total time spent; about 5 hours on Normal. I'm not an amazing FPS gamer, but I can shoot a sniper rifle straight most of the time.

Quick impressions:

- Gameplay is similar but slightly faster paced than KZ2.

- Move controls take some getting used to. I switched back to standard DS3 controls after a while, as I was doing poorly with motion control - aim was better, but I couldn't quite get the hang of turning.

- This is a classier title than KZ2. Less reliance on excessive F-bombs, and more true pathos. Not that the F-bombs don't show up from time to time, but they're not nearly so overused this time around.

- Game pacing is excellent. You're always on the move.

- Weapon balance still sucks like in KZ2. Some weapons are still absurdly dominant (Nailgun, Sniper Rifle). Others make you wonder why they bothered (LMG, Pistol). One surprise was just how weak the shotgun is in this game. It's good at point blank, but beyond a couple of yards, the shotgun might as well be a peashooter for all the damage it will deal.

- Game plays mostly smooth, aside from the occasional weird stutter out of the blue. Never seems to happen during pitched battles, so I'm guessing it's some sort of area traversal loading issue. Not a deal-breaker, but noticeable.

- Graphics are excellent. Environmental effects (wind, water, fire, snow) are all incredible.

- Campaign is short but sweet. It has logical holes the size of an aircraft carrier, but no worse than your typical summer blockbuster movie.

Didn't spend any time in multiplayer, so can't comment on it.

I just started this game with slightly tempered expectations and have thus far found it to be a very enjoyable experience.

Is it Mass Effect 2? Not by a mile.

One thing I didn't like is that I felt that the game got cheap sometimes in that there where a few spots where you would get exposed to enemy fire before you could tell where you were getting shot from and there would end up being a lot of one hit kills ON NORMAL. I felt like I was playing a Call of Duty on veteran.

I am mainly referring to the part with Jetpack. I didn't find that to be very much fun and I can't see myself enjoying it on Elite.

I got mine today , Collector's Edition. On the top of the actual steelbook it has a transparent slip with all the details. Only complaint is that on mine the eyes look a bit weird, but I'm sure I'll get over that once this disc is popped in . I'm hesitating on entering the code yet though, because I think as soon as I do the multiplayer stuff activates, and since it's here a day early, surely the online play will be pretty empty. Best wait 'till tomorrow before activating it, even though I desperately want to see the theme and listen to the soundtrack

Haha I know the spot you're talking about. On those broken staircases, right? Yeah I died quite a few times there to attackers I never even saw. I agree, easily the least enjoyable chapter in the game. The jetpack doesn't really add much to the gameplay, and it's so limiting because you can't use cover (in exchange for better firepower and slightly faster - albeit limited - mobility).

I've encountered several bugs/glitches that annoyed me.

1. I was in the highway level and my body was stuck in a van. I had to commit suicide to continue. What is worse is that I had to go through an intense shoot out from the beginning.
2. The game saved a checkpoint right when I was motar-ed. I had to restart from the beginning of the level.
3. Ducking into cover, aiming into an enemy but not being able to shoot.
4. Having full load of bullets but when I press the trigger, it says I am empty. Having to reload a full gun

I would post your findings on the Killzone website. GG are listening to feedback and are doing something about some of the bugs and glitches that people are finding.

Decent result last night, second half was better for us, but should of at least got a goal.

Thanks. I don't really post at Killzone.com as I don't know where to post it.

Smalling was immense. Expected a draw to be honest. Part of me wanted to play Killzone 3 halfway through the second half.

If you go to http://www.killzone.com/kz3/en_GB/home.html and then sign in with your PSN details. Go to Community and you'll see English Forums and in there they'll be a Killzone 3 Thread. Just post your findings in there.

Here's some pics of the Killzone 3 Collector's Edition:
[Show spoiler]

You can kinda see my complaint with how the eyes look in the third picture, but I'm just making mountains out of molehills. The packagings looks nice, and for anyone who wants to know, the super voucher says that it contains the 'Retro Map Pack, Killzone 3 Dynamic Theme & Killzone 3 Soundtrack'. There's no mention of unlock points, or all weapons and double xp for the first 24 hours strangely enough, and I can't comment on whether the content is there or not, as I'm waiting until tomorrow when there will be more people online to activate it. Strange not to mention it though...
