Its like a 50hz problem. Some movies from Europe have 50hz intros, trailers or warnings. In such a case a US PS3 doesn't know what to do with it.
Your right, a locked message comes up on all discs that i've tried. If the 3rd movie came out recently and the previous 2 are quite older then it also stands to reason it might be region locked. On the Pirates of the Caribean trilogy one and two were free, part 3 is locked because of the release date. IE, it was not a catalog title like the first 2. |
