Trust me, it wasn't a matter of understanding. It was simply a matter of keeping me entertained. It took me three attempts to finish it, all of which after I soon fell asleep. There has always been a byproduct of Sci-Fi movies called action...this one didn't have it. But there's no denying that it looked pretty good for a movie that came out about 25 years ago, especially considering it was such a dark movie.

I just can't begin to count the ways this statement is just wrong...sigh, I guess all scifi movies can't be Transformers or Independence Day.....

I guess I can understand; I had the same with 2001 Space Oddysey; yet a lot of people I talk to claim its one of the best scifi films ever ... but I've never been able to watch it for more than 30 minutes
