I don't know about that, I think if I would have known certain things about Titanic (
[Show spoiler]he dies at the end
) or Saving Private Ryan (
[Show spoiler]who dies along the way
) or even Winter's Bone (
[Show spoiler]I won't spoil that one
), the journey would have changed for me. I think it was a huge error on their part along with the other errors (especially the hosting choice).

The homeless man with an Oscar

I think he mentioned that since he wasn't working in any projects, he just decided to let it go. Most actors can't let facial hair grow if they are in the middle of a project because it wouldn't fit the role they are playing unless it's a grizzly bear.

He will most likely have it shaven once Dark Knight Rises begin but it would be awesome to see Batman rocking a beard

I was amazed at how the audience seemed to know when to laugh! I was expecting the music to start playing slowly at any second!

Helena Bonham Carter seemed like the only one not amused with the proceedings.

and i'm sure everyone in the tech trucks and whatnot were screaming "he's taking too much time!" "too much damn time!" lol

That's why I was expecting the music to start any minute.

In my opinion, regardless of what a living legend he is, I just don't think it was a good idea to have him present an award. It was uncomfortable/awkward and raised feelings of pity, more than admiration, I'm sure. It may have worked better if he was asked to introduce someone or do something with a set time limit, where he would read the teleprompter instead - IMHO.

Hehe. Franco doesn't even attend his own Oscar after party.

I'm very happy The King's Speech won. Much better than all the other's nominated. I personally thought Colin should have won best actor for A Single Man last year as well, but then again I didn't see Crazy Heart. I'm kind of disappointed Black Swan only got 1 win, I really loved that movie. Really happy with Exit Through the Giftshop winning too, go Banksy!!!

I'm kinda disappointed Harry Potter didn't even get a nomination for Best Score. I think it should have won! I mean, think about it, you hear the first couple notes of the opening credits and everyone knows what it is. It's just as iconic as the Star Wars theme.

And maybe I'm crazy, but I feel like Christian Bale's character in the Fighter was more of the main focus than Marky Mark's. I think he deserved a best actor and not supporting actor.

That's a very valid point, but I wonder if it seemed that way just because the character was so much more memorable/visible/interesting, compared to the Wahlberg character. I do tend to agree with you though. Although, if Bale was nominated for Best actor, it seems he probably would have lost to Firth (I've yet to watch Kings Speech).

I can't wait to hear what Franco has to say about the backlash his hosting perfomance is getting! I wonder if this will bite him in the @$$. I feel sorry for him because even before the Oscars (during the Red Carpet Event), he just seemed to be totally against hosting the show. Almost as if he just did not want to do it. I don't think he was impaired, but I do wonder whether he was pissed, or nervous or he just plain sucks as a host?? I think he just sucks as a host and need to focus on acting.

But aside from the more popular tracks, like the one you point out, IMO he is a genius with lyrics and music in general. Listen to some of the other songs in his albums. Also, some of the tracks on the Ghosts album are very haunting and unique and he used some of them in the movie. To me, one of the things that stood out from the Social Network was the music/sound track and is the main reason why I bought the movie. It will be the same with Tron - aside from the obvious eye candy, the music/soundtrack is what stands out and the main reason why I want to own the movie.
