Best Buy has it and save for some changes to the design theres not much difference between the S570 and the S580. But its out there and at Best Buy.

there at some bestbuy's not all of them have put them out on display but there's not too much difference between the 570 and 580. The 580 is slimmer and has bestbuy's cinemanow vod service but i'm guessing that would come to last years models via a firmware update.

Some Best Buy's did start selling these early...I got mine a week and a half ago for $199 (the S570's were going for that price too, so I said might as well get the newer one). Tons of streaming features, more than I would use actually, but they're all there: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu Plus, Vudu, CinemaNow (with firmware update), Pandora, and many more.

No, it does not. It does advertise 'Live Sports' on the box, and even though I haven't found a feature like that sifting through the various menus, I'm pretty sure something like MLB.TV could be added through an update.

Hey smooth as you can probably tell from my avatar I am a huge Sony fan as well. The Sony rep I always talk to, Michelle, says they will be adding them like I said but she couldnt give a firm update as to when the firmware will be avalible. I hope its soon because I love Vudu and CinemaNow would be an added plus.

ME too I've been using vudu so far on my ps3, and my coworkers (work at bestbuy) have been bugging me on why i don't use cinemanow but that's due to obvious reasons

It has Vudu. It did not have CinemaNow out of the box, though it is advertised on the box--as well as a placeholder selection on the player's menu itself--as being available in a future firmware update.

Sony will be adding the Vudu and Cinema Now apps soon to S570. At least it was what I was told.
