OMG that gameplay footage was

! The game is absolutelly gorgeous, and the soundscape alone is art. The use of foley really puts you in the game, and makes you feel like the environment is all around you. Looks to be another quality Battlefield game. Day 1 for me.

Black Ops has 'previous generation' lighting in it, what i mean is that you can see what the Treyarch guys were trying to do with the new Black Ops engine, but Frostbite 2 (PC) engine shows the real deal with light streaming and bright daylight. Looks awesome, no way is it going to look that good on PS3. Getting it on PC for sure!

Just remember that would be pc footage and it wont lok nearly that good on consoles.

Looking sick. Definite day 1 purchase.

Loving the jitter on the gun when you fire. So tired of perfect straight shooters with barely any recoil. That will totally keep the CoD kids away.

That new trailer looks ****ing great. Going to be a long wait for this one, probably my most anticipated game of the year. Already pre-ordered it as well. Anybody think they will release a collector's edition? Or just the standard, EA "limited" edition?

You're not the only one.

With the exception of the first Bad Company, all of the other Battlefield installments were played on a PC. As much as I love my PS3 and 360, I'm not playing BF3 on a console.

this is by far the best graphics ive ever seen for an FPS

too bad they will make the ps3 version that of the 360 specs.

they should make the pc game for pc.....then make the ps3 game with what can be transferred from pc to ps3
then make the 360 version what the 360 can handle from the ps3

Um wow. This has me so excited I want to go get the two previously release Battlefield games for PS3.

Modern Warfare 3 better REALLY push the envelope or their thunder is going to be officially stolen. They've now got major competition.

This is pretty close to what they are doing. BF3 is first and foremost, a PC game.

DICE has had frostbite on consoles two times now. The first time around, the PS3 version looked noticeably better. For BC2, its not as big a difference. The 360 version tears a bit less, but the PS3 version has better looking shaders on the textures.

I'm actually not optomistic for the console version at all. This graphics leap is quite a large increase in shader power, something that the consoles will not be able to keep up with short of some magic. BC2 already looks hugely better on a PC even keeping the resolution the same at 720p. and now the maps are going to be made for 64 players, but the consoles are only doing 24.

Thankfully I have a solid PC.

Major competition? DICE has owned the PC market for years. Hopefully BF3 get them over in the consol market too since there is no reason why a DICE game should ever lose out to a COD game.

And Top... this makes me glad that I just bought a new rig. lol

I have to agree with you on this. The PS3 version will look fantastic but I don't see it coming close to the PC. This game is going to make me buy a new GPU! Although I have been wanting to build a new rig.....
