I would connect the BDP-S350 directly to the Internet for the most reliable and fast firmware update. Even if you need to purchase a 50 or 100 foot Ethernet cord to connect it to the Internet it is worth it. You can also get a Ethernet to wireless adapter and go wireless with any old Blu-ray player that has a Ethernet connection.

I just give up at this point, probably have to buy a new player, firmware upgrading is a total pain in the ass. Had it directly connected to the line (After spending hours re arranging everything) and it STILL didn't work.
