Gears of War 2 has sold over 5 millions copies. Only by Call of Duty standards would 5 million units sold EVER be considered tanking.

But please define the criteria for what leads you to make the statement about Gears of War 2 "tanking"

I'd agree with him on that if you look at the leaderboard's nobody plays that hunk of crap the way people invested time in gears 1. I'd say it tanked in that respect maybe not from conning people into buying it.
