If Nolan does a sequel, it will be interesting to see which version of BR he goes by.

It's funny, because I go on some websites and fans are freaking out over a sequel or prequel, and aren't just content that they aren't remaking it. I'm just glad it's not a remake. They can make a sequel/prequel to it, and if it doesn't turn out well, I still have the original. I think Nolan is definitely an interesting choice for one. Another I would say would be Alex Proyas. I'd like to see his take on Blade Runner.

“I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.”
......But not really really lost if Hollywood can come back and make another buck off it! ![]() I say NOOOOO......LEAVE IT ALONE! Why can't our culture leave anything alone? It was there, look back and cherish it. Use it for inspiration going forward. But stop taking the easy route of remakes, sequels, prequels of whats already been done! |

Blade Runner is great. It has influenced many movies. Just leave it be to stand alone in the annals of greatness. Nolan is probably the best director that's active right now, but some movies need to be left alone. |

Why waste Nolan's time at all. Nolan is good at doing original and new things, and after he is through with Batman I want him to continue with his original ideas. Prestige was a book, but it wasn't a sequel or prequel. I am seriously getting tired of the lack of originality in Hollywood. I don't mind prequels and sequels, but I like a balance between them and original and new things.

I always thought the book was far better than the movie, and that the movie was over rated. I've only seen the theatrical cut, so maybe there's more in the directors cut, or another cut. The movie skimmed along some of the most important parts of the book. In the book the animal part
[Show spoiler] was made far clearer and really got me thinking, while in the movie it was just barely touched on. The movie just felt like the cliff notes to "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?".I'd like to see somebody, Nolan maybe, make a Blade Runner that delved deeper, rather than barely touch the surface. A Scanner Darkly was a great adaption of Philip K. Dick's work. So maybe Richard Linklater, however I've never seen his other work, so I don't know if he only has that one movie. |

Although Memento was his best movie (in my opinion), all of his movies have been pretty good. The only movies of his that I didn't think were great were Insomnia and Batman Begins, and I would still call both of those decent films.
