Question I finally had to chime in

I truly believe this site is the main reason for my blu-ray obsession. But the quesiton has come up before, and now has resurfaced so I have to ask: Why does everyone get so offended with the HD DVD subject on this website?

I know Blu-ray won the format war, and I think technologically that is great. I own about 100 blu-ray movies; but I also own over 50 HD DVD movies as well. I really don't get offended talking about one format over the other, or talking about VHS, beta, laser disc, or any other format. It seems that discussing 3D technology is alright, probably because blu-ray and 3D go hand-in-hand. But so many people on this sight seem to get morally offended and judgemental when it comes to the crazy cousin known as HD DVD! It's friggin' movies we are talking about, not starving children and the homeless in America!
