I agree with you 100% on everything so far Toefer. Okay almost 100%, I find it easier to check swing now. I remember two years ago, you could check swing easily, but last year I found it almost impossible to check swing. The commentary is pretty bad this year!

I've bought the game each year it has been on PS3. But this year I may wait for a price drop when it hits the $40 range because last year I saw MLB 10 The Show quickly drop to the $40 range by June or July at Best Buy.

Also the demo for game turned me off with the new analog controls.

NewEgg is offering it for $50, I know it's not $40 but it did come out yesterday!

Yeah, I think maybe I still just need to get used to it.

When watching a review of the game on some site, they seemed to be hitting differently than me, so I think I'm still doing it wrong.

In the demo, I would hold down on the right analog stick ahead of time, sort of freezing the batter, waiting to swing. Now I wait a bit, until the pitcher is well into his wind-up, before I pull down on the analog stick, so there's still a brief freezing period for the batter, just a shorter one.

But in the video I watched, they seemed to be doing the down-then-up thing as one continuous motion on the analog stick, which seemed to create a nice sort of stride-then-swing action in the game.

The more I get used to it, the more I like it, and the idea of just hitting a button made batting seem too easy (and they had to make up for it by making most of your hits outs). Now getting a hit seems like it's more directly tied to getting a good swing, which makes me feel more responsible for hits/outs than in the past, where it seemed somewhat random.

The HRD with the Move controller is fun, and I guess I no longer need to play the Wii Sports version.

I havent gotten the game yet, but I don't understand how it decrease. But from what I know about the new features, it seems like it'll be better. I don't know, maybe I love the series too much. Plus IGN can suck it!!!

I think they're just being overly critical.

'11 certainly seems better than '10 so far, so I don't see why the score went down. Maybe their expectations of what would be added to the game were too high.

I watched their video review last night, and there didn't seem to be any negatives, other than franchise and season mode weren't changed much/at all.

Read the review on IGN, it seems so half-assed it is laughable! And they gave it an 8 for graphics, are they serious?

I haven't played 10 in a few months (I finally mailed it back to GameFly, after holding onto it for a long time), so maybe my memory is just a bit off, but '11 definitely seems to look a bit better.

I think a lot of it is the improved lighting, but some of the faces/body types look a lot better this year.

When I saw Posada batting last night, I thought his chin (or lack thereof) was spot-on.

well I just got my copy of MLB 11 loaded and played a few innings and a round of HR derby. and I dont see anything wrong with this years version at all. So far, pretty damn good IMO. Definately looking forward to trying the other aspects of this years version. Especially co-op mode.

I just placed my order about 5 minutes ago and paid with paypal and had no problems checking out.

It said my order should arrive between 3/16 to 3/22

Whenever I see it, I think of those custom Hostess cupcakes that were painted like baseballs, which I always thought were kind of gross.

In general though, I like the controller, but I feel like my grubby hands would make it filthy after a while. The black ones at least hide the filth.
