I also think the "huge percentage" is smaller than the "huge percentage" that HD-DVD has in sales/Nielson Stats (I doubt the 360 failure rate is above 35%). The only reason I call it FUD, is because the same flawed logic is being used to take facts and blow them out of proportion. I find it amazing that if HD-DVD does this, we call it FUD, but if others use the same logic to bash the 360, we call it solid fact, irrefutable logic and irrepressible wit. You can't have it both ways, which is what works me up. It'd be like me going on and on about how all Warner Blu-Rays are steaming piles, because Warner openly admitted some problems were encountered. In both cases, we are making a logical fallacy by inferring a generalization from specific cases. I won't discount the fact that some 360s have had the RRoD, but I won't tolerate people telling me that my 360 is going to brick any minute now without warning, implying that I made a foolish decision in buying it. What applies to some does not apply to all. |
