Would you consider that a "very" good score for the game?

I bought this game for the 360. I've already finished the Champion Mode. Overall a pretty good game, nothing really has changed from the last 2 installments. Wished they would have added more boxers.

Amir Khan
Arturo Gatti
Juan Manuel Lopez
Marco Antonio Barrera
Eric Morales
Micky Ward
Carl Froch
Lucian Bute
James "Lights Out" Toney
Antonio Tarver
of course Floyd Mayweather Jr

Yep, I have it from Gamefly. Haven't felt the need to try online yet since I don't want to use up the seven day pass while I'm still digging the "Build a Legend".

okay I just got this game today, and I've got one MAJOR issue with it.

There's no save function in the Champion Mode. So I'm guessing I have to go through the entire champion mode in one go? That's kinda bullshit.

I went all the way through to going back to prison, getting out and winning my second heavyweight fight, and then exited during the training session. I figured with the MANY lengthy load screens it was saving my progress, as I couldn't find any save function in the menus like it was in Round 4.

Yet when I went to load my save up it registered a time from 45 minutes ago which was when I first started.

SUCH bullshit.

Other than that, I don't really have any complaints aside from the horrible loadscreen times.

Question about Rosters.

I'm kind of disappointed in the rosters. They have the MAIN fighters that you would think, but there's a lot of glaring omissions and some questionable inclusions.

In the HW division they included Butterbean, who was NEVER a legitimate fighter, and I'm not sure if he ever fought outside of the 4 round matches. Yet they don't have any fighters like Chris Byrd (two time HW champ), Ike Ibeabuchi, John Ruiz or David Tua.

Welterweight, they obviously are missing Floyd Mayweather Jr., but that could be a money thing. I've heard that rumor before, but don't know if it's ever been proven that he wanted a bunch of money to be included in the game.

Then you get down to Bantamweight and Flyweight and there's ZERO flyweights and only one Bantamweight (Nonito Donaire). No Vic Darchinyen? No King Kong Agbeko? Come on now.

I'm guessing some might be included in DLC, and I love the game, but the rosters leave something to be desired.

+1... I totally agree. They missed out on Sergio Martinez who is the middleweight champ. But they threw in Sergio Mora...?

There's a post on the EA forums by one of the devs and they talked about how the ones who aren't there are there either because they A. priced themselves out, or B. simply never got back to them.

The game had been delayed I guess, or their contracts had run out that they initially had signed, and then when they went back to get them to re-up, not everyone was willing to re-sign for the same compensation levels I guess.

THIS IS HIS RESPONSE:

Quote:
It's that time of year again. You win some, you lose some.

I'm not happy about it either. This is what Fight Night and KO Kings has gone through every year and it's never easy. Contracts are signed with fighters for a certain period of time and when they expire, we can't be certain we'll be able to reach another agreement with any of them.

- Some boxers were signed to deals over 3 years ago when things were pretty different, financially-speaking.

- All of the boxers that we lost were contacted, some of them several times by myself personally.

- I'm not kidding when I say this, sometimes we just don't hear back. Even from people we worked with previously.

- I personally had communications with one boxer - and his three different managers - over the course of 6 months.

- Arturo Gatti died under very suspicious circumstances. Sorry that we weren't able to re-do that contract in the wake of that. We would have signed him for an extra 2 years way back if we had known he was going to die.

- Some guys we had to drop because of a lawsuit last year, you might recall.

- Sometimes we have have verbal agreements in place with guys we really want and because of time-pressures we spend thousands of dollars making them. Only to have them make further demands, attempt to renegotiate, or simply fail to send us signed paperwork. So poof! They're off the roster and we just burned that money. I can tell you how much Mike looooooves that.

- Some guys just have unrealistic demands.

Now, I know you probably don't care about this. The game doesn't have some of the guys you want, end of story. But like I've been saying for years, its not like boxing is chock-full of stand-up guys accustomed to a strict code of business ethics - nor is it populated by an abundance of athletes with a realistic perception of their brand value and/or mainstream appeal.

NOTE: Some guys are absolutely great. Very professional and very helpful.

All I'm saying is, we try our best and we didn't make the business of professional boxing an absolute clusterf**.

I guess you can't knock him out until its time to knock him out, cause I was trying to knock him out when I should've been doing body shots

This is what you have to do.

1st three rounds, stay away. Just keep moving around the ring. Don't even BOTHER trying to fight him, because his power is all maxed out so even jabs can seriously hurt you.

Then it'll tell you to go for body shots. While still on your bicycle moving around the ring, hit the body. You have three rounds to get 75 punches. Once you get that 75, don't bother anymore, because it won't do anything. Just keep dodging him and moving. Keep your block up if you get anywhere near him.

Then it'll tell you to dodge him for the next couple rounds. Once you get to round 8 or 9, it'll tell you to go for it.

That's when you unload on him. Be careful because he can still hurt you, but start head hunting (which is what I did) and go for the knockout.

That's the ONLY way you can beat him. Don't even try to do it before the 8th/9th round whenever your corner man tells you to go for it, because it wont' do anything to him.

Just stay on your bike man. Just run. Move around the ring. Move to one side, and when he comes towards you, just cut and move back the other way. Just use the entire ring to stay away. It's frustrating and not easy, but you can do it. I did it on the second time I fought him. First time I made the mistake of trying to knock him out early.

Now you should have everyone unlocked for Fight Now except for Young George Foreman and Raymond Bishop, both were pre-order unlockables. They'll probably end up on the PSN store eventually.
