Need? I would imagine somewhere around none.

As for how many copies I'd like, in many cases the answer is at least one more.

Kiss Me Deadly confirmed for June 21. That's made me very happy indeed, time to say goodbye to my non-anamorphic MGM DVD.

Same here, although I always wanted to collect the Criterion dvds, for some reason I never did. Perhaps the sheer number made it too intimidating. So when Blu hit, I figured it was now or never. I always rented before, but I do my best to get all of the releases that seem interesting to me on release day. Still have a bunch to get though.

Same here...I used to go to the Virgin Megastore in NYC and stare at the Criterion wall downstairs. They probably had every one released. So sad to see that store close, but I guess it wasn't a total surprise based on what they were charging for their products.

There were simply too many CCs to buy at that point, so starting with the BDs made perfect sense. I've been loving just about every one I have seen. So far, I've gone through about 3/5 of my collection.

Great releases this month...I'm looking forward to seeing more Roeg and the Malle films look interesting. Kiss Me Deadly and People on Sunday look great as well, and I am looking forward to those the most.

Wow, gone already. I probably would have bit at that price. I'd really like a copy of it in my collection.

I'm looking for people to participate.

Please give me your 10 most wanted Criterion Blu-rays. Selections may be new spines or catalog upgrades.

-don't list anything that's been announced or confirmed
-please refrain from listing titles that don't have a chance (ie The Dark Knight or There Will Be Blood).

After I have enough responses then I'll compile a 10-Most wanted Blu-rays from posters in this thread. Hey, I think Criterion reads this forum!

I think these fall under the rule of "please refrain from listing titles that don't have a chance."

I understood what he said as the really obvious "no chance" BDs like the ones he mentioned. You know, movies made within the last few years that already having a good BD release. Like if I said, "Avatar" or "Inception"!!

Zabriskie Pt is not out on BD anywhere in Region A, and the Hitchcock films are my other wish.

So there.

Rushmore (Anderson)
Jules et Jim (Truffaut)
Made in USA / 2 or 3 Things (Godard)

New:
Following (Nolan - confirmed? I feel it's been years since we heard about this - I don't really care about it being Criterion, but I'd like SOME Blu-ray of it)
Fish Story (Nakamura)
Every Man For Himself (Godard)
Weekend (Godard)
Magnificent Ambersons (Welles)

I was only taking into consideration the rights holders of those films. The chance of them being able to be part of the collection are slim, I would think. The Hitchcock's have a better chance than anything Warner Brothers owns or David Lynch.

New:
Dersu Uzala (I can't talk myself into buying the crappy Kino DVD. This is the one Kurosawa masterpiece to never be released by Criterion)
The remaining Kurosawa films not already in the collection.

Upgrade:
Spartacus (not going to happen, but one can wish)
Madadayo (since this is the only Criterion Kurosawa DVD I can't buy)
Dead Ringers
