I will definitely be picking this up. This film completely snuck by me, saw it for the first time a year or so ago and loved it.

Never seen it. Will probably blind buy it. Worth it?

Also looking forward to The Hustler. Already got Platoon from Hong Kong, interested to see if Fox uses the same transfer.

Yeah it's a very solid film. I bought it on DVD maybe 7-8 years ago at Target when it was on sale for maybe $5. I would say it's Colin Farrell's best acting by far.

This was definitely Farrell's first big film in the U.S. Of course it was Hart's War, Minority Report, and S.W.A.T. that really put him on the map.

I saw this one a long time ago before I even knew what a Colin Farrell was. From what I remember I really liked this film a lot. Would be worth a look again if the price was right.

This is an entertaining, well-crafted movie. It'll obviously be remembered most for Colin Farrell's breakthrough role. I own the DVD. Wouldn't mind adding the BD to my collection in the future.

The transfer might disappoint a lot of people, though. VERY rough, shot-on-the-fly, documentary-esque cinematography here.

I like the movie but this is one of the reasons I probably won't pick it up unless it's cheap. Although every movie benefits from an HD transfer.

How had I never heard of this movie before? I'm a big fan of war movies and have liked many of Colin Farrell's movies.

Joel Schumacher is almost universally derided now, and he certainly has provided quite a few reasons fot that, but this somber, austere movie turned out to be surprisingly solid.

I've got the UK Blu-Ray release of this and have to concede that it's far from impressive. Very flat picture which (to me) looks barely better than an upconverted DVD, but as stated this may well be down to the way it's shot.
Certainly miles behind the fantastic Thin Red Line and Platoon transfers.

the blu-ray.com Tigerland Blu-ray Review is up-

the review calls batman forever "a massive failure"-

obviously not true, as it was a box office success although it is a not so great film-

his careless comments stopped me from continuing the read-

blu-ray.com needs to do a better job of preparing their staff- this place is a shade away from being a blog site instead of a respected blu-ray info source-

The review now says 'Batman & Robin' when referring to the 'massive failure'.

Jeez I couldn't watch it. The transfer is low def and EE'd beyond belief. And the film itself. What a dick the main character is.

This is one of the worst Blu transfers I've ever seen. I know it's 16mm but that ain't the problem - the DNR and edge enhancement are ridiculous, the text at the beginning of the film shows this, and it doesn't get much better. I think this could be a contender for the DVD being better. Can anyone compare?

Wow, didn't even realize this film received a blu-ray release over 1.5 years ago.

Does anyone know if the 3 pack Tigerland blu-ray disc that also comes with Hart’s War & Windtalkers has all the special features on it?
