Yeah it's a very solid film. I bought it on DVD maybe 7-8 years ago at Target when it was on sale for maybe $5. I would say it's Colin Farrell's best acting by far.

This is an entertaining, well-crafted movie. It'll obviously be remembered most for Colin Farrell's breakthrough role. I own the DVD. Wouldn't mind adding the BD to my collection in the future.
The transfer might disappoint a lot of people, though. VERY rough, shot-on-the-fly, documentary-esque cinematography here. |

Certainly miles behind the fantastic Thin Red Line and Platoon transfers. |

the blu-ray.com Tigerland Blu-ray Review is up-
the review calls batman forever "a massive failure"- obviously not true, as it was a box office success although it is a not so great film- his careless comments stopped me from continuing the read- blu-ray.com needs to do a better job of preparing their staff- this place is a shade away from being a blog site instead of a respected blu-ray info source- |

This is one of the worst Blu transfers I've ever seen. I know it's 16mm but that ain't the problem - the DNR and edge enhancement are ridiculous, the text at the beginning of the film shows this, and it doesn't get much better. I think this could be a contender for the DVD being better. Can anyone compare?
