What's the region coding on the release? This is the UK version, right?

It says B on the back of the UK version, not sure if it works in a region A player, which mine is. Will probably pick it up, when I purchase a Region B standalone in the new year.

I found it really soft and just generally unimpressive. Yeah you are right, ID4 has never looked this good but i was really hoping for a bit more. I said in another post i think i've just been very spoilt by fox and now stuff like this just doesn't give me the wow factor.

hmmm, personally i thought the initial explosions on New York looked and sounded best but the FX are looking a bit dated. Also the first flight chase between Will Smith and the Alien looks great, but doesn't sound it.

With the exception of the attack scenes, it was one horrible movie.

Rental for me... buy the Fly instead

Not yet A. It just arrived about 30min ago. There is also a parcel for me to collect. I think its the Blade Runnder 5 disc set from the US.

Nice, Ronins great, some of the best car chases ever and De Niro is on form. The transfers not bad either!

Since we are on the subject of Fox, has anyone picked up From Hell? I was planning on getting this title since I really enjoyed the SD version of it.

Oh i have seen the film before and your right the car chase scene is one of the best. I doubt i will get to see it today but certainly over the next few days. I must have close to 80 BDs to look at yet.

I have watched From Hell on BD and it looks and sounds excellent.

update...apparently the updated version has lossless...it's in the movies/new releases forum...
