Rate the collection of the poster above you

"Rating" another's collection is a dicey and ultimately meaningless exercise because each and every collection rates a 10 in the mind of its owner. My own taste, for instance, gravitates toward foreign, arthouse, and classic titles, with a heavy priority on solid scriptwriting and character development and not so much on action and special effects (with some notable exceptions). That might not appeal to a lot of the guys on this board whose collections I've reviewed. But at this point, I can't think of one title in it that I would eliminate, and very few titles that have been released that I would add.

Anyway, identifying the tastes of the poster above me based on what's in his collection, and then judging the collection based on how well it manifests his tastes (a circular exercise, I know), I'd say his collection rates a 9.

We have similar tastes for the most part, I enjoyed your collection. You sure do have a lot on pre-order 9/10

My collection is in complete disarray right now, I'm forming new lists and such, scroll to "ordered" and "owned" and that's it for now.

at first i thought you owned every criterion released. for what you own though - 7/10 - i like them all. i too want some criterions, but theyre just too expensive.

Props on the Criterion collection. A lot of good stuff on your wishlist just need to get more variety in your actual collection. 8/10

I actually don't own them all, just ordered my first: 8½

The Criterion list I have is just...all of them, It's a wish-list, I want them all LOL.

10/10, not a single film I wouldn't want to own (a lot of them I already own on DVD.) You have a clear love for QUALITY cinema.

9.5/10 Excellent variety. Most of those I would enjoy. I took a little bit off simply because it seems like you are missing parts of series like Harry Potter. You only have Year 4. Great collection none the less.
