Thumbs up Recommendation for cataloging your Blu-ray collection

UPDATED:
I'm new to this Forum and would like to start by recommending Movie Label 2008 for organizing your movie collection:
http://www.codeaero.com/movie-label/

Of course it got Blu-Ray support (as well as DVD and other old formats).

I just ordered a US PS3 myself so that I can start buying Blu-Ray movies instead of DVDs. Also got a Sony 1080p LCD TV, so I am really excited about the coming months

While that's nice, but I use a Mac.

I use 'Delicious Library'. I hope 'Delicious Library 2' will support Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. Even though I don't have HD-DVD, but it'll be nice to have support for all formats. While the current version support both HD formats but the default template for Blu-Ray and HD-DVD is the same as the DVD's template.

The evaluation period is without restrictions so you can try the full program before you decide if you like it or not. Nothing for Mac though.

I downloaded the prog. Language could be set to dutch, but all downloads of movies are for the US versions.

I use DVD Profiler and they work with barcode system, which makes sure the disc you choose IS the disc you have.

I tried to enter CARS and my first download seemed to be a game version of cars, the other was the US version of cars. Bit difficult, don't you think.

I wish Ken at DVDProfiler made a HD update.

DvdProfiler stopped updating the software one year ago. It also takes longer to scan every media than simply typing part of it. DVD Profiler also has a pretty bad interface don't you think? Looks like it is created for Win 3.1.

What is the registered cost of this program? Like some, I have been using DVD Profiler for what seems like forever. Do you know if it has some sort of a conversion feature? I'd hate to type all my DVD bar codes into another program.

THanks

It is $39.95 and there is a DVD Profiler importer available for download from the forum. I think it is a small price to pay for such a good insurance tool (if something should happen to your collection you can simply print a list and give to your insurance company).

dvd aficionado is great, you can group movies in categories, rate them, add comments etc...

Here's my collection for an example of what you can do.

I envy you. LoL. You're so lucky. I have 60GB PS3 as well, but i'm still saving up on a FULL 1080p Sony LCD HDTV. What model do you have? Is it the 46" BRAVIA™ XBR® LCD Flat Panel HDTV (KDL-46XBR3)?! It looks like this, http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...080_Flat_Panel

You couldn't be more wrong. There's a LARGE amount of DVD catalogue softwares for OS X and I mean LARGE. Delicious Library is my preferred DVD catalogue software and they are currently working on the next major upgrade, no word on what the new features will be but odds are that they will add the proper image size for both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray.

I use www.dvdspot.com for my collection. It is user based so I can make corrections and additions to the database. I have been working hard to make sure all the blu-ray releases are on the site.
