Links work fine and allow a user to decide if they want to even watch the video being linked too. When you let people embed as they want someone will join just to post things that are entirely inappropriate for this forum, it's happened before.

That's funny it isn't a problem on at least half a dozen other forums I know of. If a user doesn't want to watch a video they don't hit play. They can also be disabled in the User CP. I don't know what you mean by "entirely inappropriate" but the video hosting sites don't allow porn or whatever. Anything inappropriate can be reported and the user banned just like pics or anything else. Might as well take away the ability to post images then. It is no different. Actually images are worse. Users can upload anything. With videos you have to link to a moderated site. This isn't 2006. Embedded videos are everywhere. Don't you use Facebook or Twitter? It's time to move forward with technology. Is this a Blu-ray site or a VHS site?

Yeah, but why even allow for the chance to begin with? If pics are as bad as you say and anyone can post pictures of anything...why give those people yet another chance to do it in another form?

Just because you see something on Facebook doesn't mean it should be everywhere (FB and Twitter are severely overhyped BTW). If you want to talk about technology, just have a look around here

And really, VHS? That's your quirky analogy? Try finding another place that gives you rankings, detailed info on thousands of titles, and great opportunities to find amazing deals. If you want videos, go to YouTube or Hulu. All embedding does is save you a click of a link. If you can't do that...something's wrong.

I like Blu-ray.com the best but they need to enable embedding video like everyone else. There is no logical reason not to.

I don't understand why you are against it. It wouldn't affect you one bit but the people that like it can use it. If you don't like it turn it off in User CP.

How do we embed it though? I tried to copy/paste the embedded code as suggested on youtube, but that doesn't seem to work. I know on other sites there is a video icon.

I'm guessing that this has been covered somewhere... but I thought I'd just mention that the feature I want more than anything is to be able to hide titles that are in my collection from the price-drops bar at the top of the home page.

I'd also love it if hiding titles that are already owned (which is an option in the top deals page) could be set to stay that way instead of me filtering it every time I go there.

Maybe these things are possible already and I just don't know how, but there you go...

Greetings Mods/Developers.

I just noticed an error/bug regarding user reviews. If I click on the the user reviews that a user has under his/her avatar, instead of taking me to the page displaying his/her personal reviews, the site directs me to the newest reviews posted, by any member. I have tried clicking on numerous users personal reviews under their avatar(s), and each one directs to the same page, the newest review page, instead of the user's reviews list.

Thanks for the help in correcting this!

Also it appears that the iTrader stats page for each user (listed under his/her avatar as well) may not be working either, when I click on that, I just get a blank white page, despite which user I clicked on.

I'm experiencing similar problems too. Another one is when I click my movies, it shows my old avatar, and not current one.

I'm sure these bugs will be fixed shortly.
