One possibility comes to mind.
Let's say for instance there was a deal in the works or even in place for a future release of Spartacus. I imagine Warner wouldn't want that confirmed before their Kubrick collection was even released. In a more general sense, I would also think the benefits to being more specific about future plans would be dwarfed by the negative reactions when any of those plans fell through. We're not a forgiving lot when we think something has been 'taken away' from us ![]() |

If they announce it too early, and the project falls apart (or is postponed) they'll probably be swamped with people emailing them, complaining where "their" Criterion is. So, it's better (easier) for them to release the info a couple of months before the release, when it's truly finalized. Of course, even then, a title can be withheld (Ran, for example).

If anyone is looking for an early taste of the B & N Criterion sale, you can print out a coupon for 50% off. It's one of those "get 10%, 20%, 30%, 50% off" lottery deals where you print it out and find out which coup you got.
Unless someone TELLS you which one is 50% and makes it available to you. ![]() http://forum.dvdtalk.com/dvd-bargain...-part-2-a.html As per my "deals" thread post... You have to scroll down and "unhide" the selection of ALL of the coupons. They have marked the 50% coupon in glaring red letters. There are "member" and "non-member" coupons, so make sure you've printed the correct one. The coups print out larger than the ones on the website, so I hope no one runs into any hassles from the B & N cashiers. Try it out folks and let us know if you're successful...I think they have "online coups" as well. ENJOY! ![]() |

The email that was sent to everyone has 2 links...1 for in-store and 1 for online. The online code is contained in the email.
So, if anyone was able to use a code which got them 50% off...they would ultimately get said crown if they posted it here for us. |

If I remember correctly, with the last coupon the online code was individualized so you would have to find someone who would give you theirs.
