I was expecting Indy last year...Isnt it rumored for the fall? ET is way overdue..the 30th anniversary is definitely a possibility that would be great if it happened.

Indy won't be out until next year. Lucasfilm wouldn't release both Star Wars and Indy in the same year.

2012 for Indy and E.T. then?

I just hope when E.T. comes out, we get the 1982 version as well as Spielberg's preferred 2002 cut. HBO airs the 1982 version in HD from time to time.

Didn't know there were different cuts. Anything significant? Either way, I can't wait to buy it day one.

The only thing I remember is that they digitally removed the guns toward the climax of the movie.

The guns the agents use near the end are altered to walkie talkies, and also a line about terrorists was removed because of "post 9-11 sensitivity", and there were a few moments where they CGI'd E.T. in moments Spielberg didn't like the way the puppet looked.

Ah ok. Yea, now I remember reading about the guns being removed, but not about the other 2 things. Nothing too major, like we see E.T.'s homeworld or anything like that. A great childhood memory for me. Can't wait to own it. Thanks for the responses guys.
