According to reviews, the Echo Bridge release of FDTD makes the Canadian release from Alliance look like the new Taxi Driver restoration, by comparison.

Seriously, why would any buyer rather purchase a horrible U.S. release than a halfway-decent Canadian release? I don't understand it.

After reading this review of FDTD, I'm sticking with my Canadian Triple Pack. It is just unacceptable for a company to put out such a horrible product. I can't believe us as consumers even let them stay in business. They make Alliance look like Criterion.

Alliance probably just noticed how their FDTD sales have spiked all of a sudden. they're probably thinking, "Did Harvey Keitel die or something? Why are people all of a sudden buying this 2 years later?"

It's 1.85:1 for a 2.35:1 film. I don't think you even need to see a review to know it blows.

The cover isn't helping matters either, letting you know it's in 2.0 Stere.

And, yes, the "o" is left off on purpose. You'll use it yourself when you say "o, shit... I just wasted $10."

I went ahead and ordered the triple pack from PlanetAxel. Where are they located and usually how does it take for items to arrive from there if you use the standard shipping?

I'm off to FYE tomorrow to buy FDTD.....does anyone know if The Crow City of Angels is available by Alliance or in another region?

You're gonna buy the Echo Bridge release of FDTD? Ye gods, man, WHY?! haha

And no, to my knowledge, there's been no BD release of City of Angels. Then again, to my knowledge, no one liked that movie, anyway.

LOL! I bought the EB release at the beginning of the week and posted a review of it on my site. I'm going to FYE to buy the Alliance version again, and ditching the EB, is what I meant. The only real good thing about the EB is the front cover art, other than that, a lot of trash with this release.

It's too bad Lionsgate didn't get all Miramax/Dimension catalog titles.

They have multiple locations, and one of them happens to be in the states. So the shipping only took like 3 days. Really good service.

You won't be disappointed with the Triple Pack. Solid PQ all the way through, and DTS-HD Master Audio sound.

Thank you. Even at 1080i, the PQ is pretty good? I was reading that both Curse and H20 are 1080i, is that true?

Are both Dracula 2000 and TCM: Beginning priced reasonably? Does anyone have the specs on D2000 and TCM:B? I would think that both would be 1080p and DTS-HD MA 5.1. TCM:B DVD looks good upconverted, so I can imagine that the Blu is really good.

Thanks again. I can't wait for next week to receive this set. For $27, I should have bought it months ago and quit this waiting game for better US releases. I'm very familiar with the Alliance titles as I've owned several of their releases over the years and they have been decent.

TCM: Beginning is available through Amazon for $12.99. I don't have it myself, but the review states its 1080i, not 1080p and doesn't have any special features.
