Gerard Butler's character in Law Abiding Citizen. Maybe not the most sympathetic EVER, but certainly deserves a mention in this thread.

Well he was a bad guy in the 4th one (Jaws: The Revenge- 1987), as hunting for food was no longer it's 'modus operandi' because the brute was chasing the characters all over the globe if I remember correctly.

But that movie made possible one of the greatest quotes from an actor regarding it.

Some smart ass reporter who knew that Michael Caine was paid a million or more dollars to make this stinker, went up to him and insultingly asked him if he had ever seen it.
He quipped right back that he had not, "However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific."

Dracula's a pretty good one and the first one I thought of. It helped that I'd watch the special features of the DVD the other night. Universal monsters are a good bet. The Pirates of the Caribbean films have pretty sympathetic villains as well.

Just a few of the top of my head, Khan in The Wrath of Khan, the boat in Titanic (or the iceberg) just the wrong place at the wrong time. The Incredible Hulk. Zombies in general, I think they get a raw deal. Bodhi in Point Break. Kathy Bates in Misery, who hasn't wanted to hobble they're favourite authors after killing off they're favourite character....

All the innocent bystanders involved in the day to day goings on on Death Star....

Simple answer there: there is no 4th movie

In the first movie (really all that matters), he is just a predator having to eat to survive
