Just a heads up to everybody, asda have quite a few blurays on offer for a fiver, the offer started today, ive just been in and picked up..

Yeah i think so, they had an ad in todays sun and it said that online prices may vary

Some guy at my ASDA bought 30 :/ took nearly all the stock

What was Eclipse? Is the Twilight Saga one? Just a quick note last time Tesco did this a few on-line retailers like Amazon matched a few prices.

Went into the Asda in Newton Abbot today and picked up Taken, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and My Bloody Valentine 3D. Was hoping to get The Book of Eli too but they'd sold out. Thought it was funny that Eclipse was being sold for £5 on Blu-ray, yet the DVD was still £14. Even the DVDs for the first two films were priced higher than the Eclipse Blu-ray, with Twilight (single disc) for £6 and New Moon going for £8-9 (can't remember if it was the single or double disc version though).

we need a uk deals sub-section. Just learnt on avforums that best buy uk are doing a 2 for £22 or 4 for £40 deal on their top 25 chart titles swell as there catalogue titles! offer running till 5th May!

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check out what my local ASDA has tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to pick up Taken and Terminator Salvation.

I visited both my local stores earlier today. One only had a few titles available (their BD section is measly anyway). The other, larger store had the majority of titles listed available, with most in stock. Both stores had a dedicated section for the titles (only Red was missing, as it's in the chart instead). Their most well stocked film was The Expendables (~20 copies available), with a whole dedicated row. Every other film had between 1-5 copies left. Out of stock titles I remember were Buried, Piranha 3D, Red, Taken, Wall Street, AvP: R, and The Last Exorcism.

Shame there wasn't any copies of Red left, though I expected as much. I picked up TGWPWF with minty slip, would of liked TGWTDT but the few slipped copies weren't in ideal condition.

Agreed, something along the lines of HUKD for UK users where we can post online/in-store deals and discount codes. Region B deals is rarely active.

My brother is a legend - managed to get me Red - he's down in Norwich just now for work. Thats another film off my mental Blu ray shopping list
