It depends. If the info was compromised and Sony didn't warn anyone, there may be a case. A mistake is very different than knowing about a compromise and keeping your customers in the dark.

When I bought PS3 I didn't had X360, and played all the time on PS3, but now (present) it's essentially just for Blu-ray films/series, X360 is more gamer friendly and it's definitely my favourite console of this gen. I should've just got a Blu-ray Player standalone instead of PS3, but PS3 seemed so good that I wanted it so bad. If the future tellers really knew the future (bunch of bullshit they are), I would've bought a standalone Blu-ray Player, Captain Obvious. |

I didn't see that part. ![]() Just to play Devil's Advocate, you do know that a TOS doesn't always solve the legal questions. Different states have different laws and when operating within those states, you're bound by their regulations and statutes. |

I agree for the most part with your post. We have gotten to be a litigious society. I think part of that responsibility falls in line with both parties and not just the plaintiff. You don't see the companies making good on their errors. (Namely Microsoft and the RROD debacle.) I don't think the economy has anything to do with it. I think people in general, just get upset when they feel as though they were wronged and want satisfaction. |

I have two PS3's. One gets about 25% use for gameplay and the other effectively zero. When I bought the first it was the best player on the market and when I bought the second I saw no reason to change. They are still one of the best BD players on the market.

![]() But yeah, I hear ya on the different laws/states thing. I see that part all the time in the agreements. Hell, I remember seeing those things way back when I had my first very Playstation (the grey one). Never really looked into what Florida had for their laws, or any other state's for that matter. But guess I've never really had to make use of them because I've never really had that big of an issue with any of my products/services or I've resolved it at the manager-level before having to go higher to resolve it. Reading that fine print is time-consuming and a lot of misinformation on what customers can and cannot do in regards to their products and services is usually covered in those mind-numblingly boring paragraphs. To be perfectly honest, I didn't start reading everything in all the user agreements associated with the PS3 until the whole OtherOS feature being removed debacle started up a while ago. |

Still, the PS3 is my choice for the top BD player in the house. Works right out the box. Even with the PSN down, can still access Netflix and the online aspects of my BD's (since they aren't reliant on the PSN to connect to the 'net). Still planning on getting a second one myself once I get back on my feet. |
