Hold your SteelBook flat and gently jiggle the disc around on the inside until you get it sitting on the hub (when you lightly shake it you'll be able to tell that it's no longer sliding around on the inside) Then, put each thumb about 1/3 of the distance from the edge of your SteelBook to the center (basically, you're re-sitting the disc on the hub from the outside, so picture where your thumbs are in relation to the disc) Compress the SteelBook until you hear the click (you should be able to tell when it goes back onto the hub) You will have to put a fair amount of pressure on the front of the SteelBook, and it may even twist and buckle a little as if you're warping it, but you won't damage it (use firm, but gradual pressure when squeezing it... remember, you're only pushing the disc back onto the hub, NOT making a SteelBook pancake ![]() It might take you a few minutes, but a little patience goes a long way ![]() |

It's most likely damaged again too. You just can't tell as easy with the shrinkwrap. I too have ordered the Kill Bills and gotten damaged ones twice. These things are like digibooks. If you don't purchase them early in the release cycle, the chances of receiving a damaged one is essentially guaranteed with shelf wear. And if that doesn't damage it, Amazon.ca's foldover shipping will.

Don't forget that Amazon is a bookstore/movie store, and not a collectibles store.
Of course they would re-ship returned items that are not deemed 'badly damaged'. For a dent or ding, they would guess that most people don't care. When was the last time you worried about a dent in your Amaray? If you really want the best condition items, look towards first day sales, preferably in-store if possible. Otherwise buy from fellow collectors who know and understand the importance of condition. But then don't expect it to be dirt cheap either! I like helping out a number of collectors here, but can't be bothered with the nitpicky ones. I'm not Amazon! Although I wouldn't mind a night with one. ![]() |
