Their album "Hunting High and Low" is great! of of the best albums to come out of the 80's. I'm interested in getting this. I wonder if he can still hit the "take on me" notes.

I got this Saturday April 30th, and I listened to this yesterday. This is surprisingly good! I'll have to listen more before sharing anymore thoughts.

He still can. Although a-ha's best live period in the 2000's was 2005–2007, they're still very good!

He still can. Although a-ha's best live period in the 2000's was 2005–2007, they're still very good!

If it's sold at Amazon then it has to be region free and I'll get it there. Slightly more expensive than Amazon UK but I will get it in a day or two.

Yes, according to all sources, this disc is in fact region free. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive within the next couple of days, but once it does, I'll gladly confirm its playability in Region A (if someone else hasn't already).

watched some of the disc last night on my LG player - and yes it's region A.

This BD has great audio and video. Their songs teleported me to my teen years.

BTW, I got my copy from Amazon and as far as I could tell this is a European release (has a fat case like other Euro BDs) so I guess there is only one version and it's region-free.

I agree!

Very happy with the quality of this disc...And yes, it is a region free Universal Studios European import...After watching the disc and realizing the size of the crowd, I'm so glad I was able to see them at one of their more intimate concerts in Chicago...

is it me, or does Morten seem out of breath during some of the songs, he's able to hit the high notes, but he seems winded at times.

Yeah, you've got to cut the guy some slack. That was the final concert of a year long farewell tour that totaled over 70 shows...Frankly, I don't know how he even could perform as well as he did after a run like that...Those guys are all up around 50 years of age now, so there's definitely going to be some wear and tear associated with both age and physical strain of the tour itself. But all things considered, they still look and sound phenomenal in my opinion, and they couldn't have gone out any better than they did...

If you are even the slightest fan of these guys I strongly recommend this disc. Sterling Audio/Video that gets noticeably better by the fifth song (maybe not up to Jeff Beck or Within Temptation but still great). What makes this so good and memorable is the combination of the incredible passion of the band on their final show (a blistering version of "Take On Me" encores) and the audience energy while experiencing it. Compared to a real turkey like Journey in Manilla which is a huge disappointment in A/V, this one delivers.
