AWESOME movie! July 19th seems to be the day for quite a few Blu-ray releases. I have a funny feeling that Universal will be releasing Take Me Home Tonight on the 19th as well. Probably will have a Best Buy promotion on buying two classics that inspired the film and get $5 off or something!

Too bad criterion couldn't get this title. Lets hope for a good transfer.

Nice, this along with Fast Times will make a nice classic release day. Now if I could only get another lesser known favorite of mine that fits the mold of Dazed and Fast Times:

It's "they stay the same age." Otherwise it's kinda gross

Glad to see this pop up, I was just thinking the other day that I wanted to watch this but I never picked up the DVD. I can hold out a couple months. Love Affleck in this.

I was paraphrasing, but yea - Matthew M. is excellent in this (his First Major role, knocked it out of the park! IMO)

They may get it eventually. It could be just like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Universal releases their version first and then licenses it out to Criterion. I'm hoping the same happens for Brazil.

I've already got the HD-DVD of Dazed & Confused, so I'll wait for a really cheap price on this before replacing it.

Pretty close! Take Me Home Tonight DVD is slated for 7/12 according to the moderator over at DVDTalk, who's always been spot on. I'm assuming the BD is releasing as well.

I forgot, but she appears as an extra on screen for only like 2 seconds.

I think it's during the hazing scene with the freshmen girls early in the movie. You can see her as one of the seniors along with Joey Lauren Adams and Parker Posey. And yes, it's for no more than 2 seconds.
