I held on to my A35 for so long because of this very reason. After a while though my DVD watching shrunk to a crawl and I decided it wasn't worth keeping a player for maybe 10 viewings a year. I managed to sell my A35 for $100 more then a paid for it...lol

I might do that with my A20, but I'll hold onto it for at least a few more months. There's no way I am parting with my LG BH200 as it's been one of the best players I have ever owned. I also have an A2, but it doesn't read DVDs anymore and I have tried literally everything to correct it. It does however still play HD DVDs just fine so I figure that there's something wrong with the DVD laser or lens alignment.

Definitely picking this up day one.

Isn't having your classic, favorite movies on BD fun?

This cover is way better than the UK one. I'm a massive fan of this so I'll get the US release.

I have one question though. Does anybody here have the 30th Anniversary DVD? If so could you confirm whether or not it has the original soundtrack as I read that it does.

If indeed it does then it bodes well for the Blu-Ray.

According to screen shots of the back cover of the 30th Anniversary DVD, it does have the original mono track. Which is fortunate, because the 5.1 mix has an instance of clipped dialogue. I hope the Blu-ray has the original mix, because I doubt Universal has fixed this issue. Not to mention the frame jump that is only on the Double Secret Probation Edition.

I've been hoping this would finally come out this year. This film is a national treasure. I can't wait for it!

I agree... this film started the whole college/fraternity comedy genre that we know today. It's a classic.
