Hi. I've just tried submitting some updated cover art and I'm confused. First, I submitted a scan of The A-Team (US) at 300 dpi to replace the cover that shows the sideways spine view, and it was denied. Then, I scanned it again at 600 dpi, along with front and backs for Plague Town. At first, both entries showed "removed by 4000dvds2many". Then, the original spine view of A-Team came back and Plague Town still shows as removed with no cover art. Is 600 dpi too high? Both scans look excellent with no flaws or any reason to see why they shouldn't be accepted. Can anyone explain? Thanks!

![]() ![]() EDIT: The disc can be found here. I put the audio formats in the comment field in the submission, but they don't show in the overview of the disc for some reason. Will this be fixed? I also had some other comments about this version of the film compared to the other ones, will those comments be shown or is this not necessary to add? Last edited by Prim; 04-21-2011 at 02:44 PM. |

On the subject of aspect ratios. First. Only add to the discs' AR (Aspect ratio) field aspect ratios if you have measured them accurately if your HDTV has no overscan or is not on stretch mode, or counting pixels on the actual image file. Most reviews here have already done that too so if it's the same transfer that's what the disc will measure. If you measure, note it on the comment, otherwise most likely your submitted number won't be added. Do not copy other sites or imdb or back covers. Second. OAR (Original aspect ratio field) General guidelines: 35mm Sound films from 1932-1954 OAR is 1.37 from 1954 onwards most movies were made for the Widescreen There's basically two widescreen OARs: Flat/spherical/standard = 1.85 Scope/anamorphic/Panavision = 2.39 (The anamorphic ratio changed from 2.35 to 2.39 40 years ago) 1.33 OAR is only Silent movies or analog 20th century TV shows. Not 35mm Sound movies nor 16mm. 16mm camera aspect ratio is also 1.37 1.78 is OAR for HD/digital 21rst century TV shows There are exceptions to these general guidelines but that's basically it for the majority of entries. Do not just copy other sites or imdb or back covers. |

![]() ![]() But I still wonder if there is any point to writing notes/comments about the release when submitting? I wrote some about this version of the film, but can't find them when viewing the disc overview (are they supposed to be there?). Thank you for help with aspect ratios, and for replying. ![]() |

Yes, that's the one. Fans of the film/series know this already, so maybe it's not necessary, but I thought it was still relevant (as well as my comment on the subtitles, given that several French releases have forced subtitling). But I suppose all members can see the submission form for themselves.

When I want to search for TV shows, I go to Amazon. On the movie page (left hand side) no TV button, in search page also no TV box to check. Maybe it is out there somewhere, I cannot find it. In the collection page, it states number of TV series at the top, so info is out there. Where?
![]() Can you guys add a button to help us search for TV on BD? |

@ Travis.
Apologies if I mis-understood your question but if not.. On the left side of the movies page you mentioned, under the database heading, is the link to "TV on Blu-ray" link which leads to https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?show=tvshows Also, in your collection you can access your TV titles under Statistics or use your "search collection" link for the advanced search which has TV as an option under "other".. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/searc...s&categoryid=7 |

That does make sense to look there.
It might be worth suggesting adding TV under the genre heading in the 'New features and site improvements' thread. If it wasn't a deliberate decision, it might not have been done that way solely because the TV tag doesn't appear under genres when adding titles to the database. |

Is it possible to add multiple resolutions for a title?
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Ernes...Blu-ray/20355/ According to the review, Ernest Goes to Camp is 1080i. Ernest Goes to Jail is 1080p. |

I was trying to "Suggest New Titles", but everytime I click on it, it takes me to the Blu-Ray Release page? I'm not sure if it's a bug, or I'm missing something?
