Great news!!!!!!!!! Day 1!!!!
I wonder if it will be a double feature, separate releases, or something more like The Karate Kid slipbox.

Here's hoping for separate releases. I believe the first film should stand on its own (even though I will pick up Destroyer as well).
Hopefully Universal does these right.

Destroyer never received an anamorphic release on DVD and Barbarian needs a remaster as well. Let's hope both of these get cleaned up because they really need it.

Is this one of the last major Arnold films to be released on Blu besides Pumping Iron?

I totally agree! I would rather they give both the theatrical & extended versions of Barbarian(Destroyer was total crap), along with all the bonus material from the SE DVD.

No, there are still a few waiting to come out...

why do people hate kindergarten cop, i like it is no true lies but still fun film. The only thing that worries me is how much DNR they will use.

Reading the link might help.

No bonus materials or specs have been announced yet, but expect the full complement of bonus features from the DVD versions to be present on these releases when they arrive in stores on August 2 for $26.98 each.

As long as the actor & director commentary is intact I'm happy.

I wasn't trying to belittle Kindergarten Cop (at least not too bad). It's just sandwiched between Total Recall and T2 and is among his lesser works from that early 90's era.

So, "Hercules in New York" (now in undubbed form) is on Blu already?
(And "Scavenger Hunt", of course, has still never been released on DVD.)

No, it hasn't. The UK BD is Region ABC, though.

Yes, I'm usually dubious of Universal catalog releases, but Lionsgate is doing a big budget remake being released in theaters in August, so Universal does have some incentive to do this right. In checking imdb.com I see they released on DVD in 2000 and did a re-release on DVD in 2007, so they may have been prepping it for HD DVD and hopefully have a decent master.
