My parents will not be pleased about Human Target.

Almost everything they watch gets canceled.
I told them they need to stop watching Hawaii Five-0

I don't really keep up...is there any room on the schedule for a possible Lie to Me pick up now that Human Target is done? Mid-season maybe?

While Human Target and Lie To Me had been long shots after soft second- and third-season runs and Chicago Code and Traffic Light's fate had been sealed for awhile, especially with Chicago Code creator Shawn Ryan moving from 20th TV to Sony, the yanking of Breaking In was very surprising as the comedy launched strong behind American Idol, posting Fox's highest ratings for live-action comedy series in 3 years. It has since slipped but was considered a solid contender for renewal as it had shown promise and had done much better than two other freshman live-action Fox comedies, Traffic Light and Running Wilde. Breaking In beat the odds once, when Fox passed on the pilot last season, before getting resurrected with a midseason order. But its luck ran out. And so the Christian Slater curse continues...

Maybe if the third season hadn't started off so bad it may have held onto some viewers and still be around

What We're Hearing: 'Harry's Law' Renewed, 'Law & Order:LA' Cancelled, 'Wonder Woman' Picked Up By NBC

Quote:
his comes from what in the past has been a very accurate source of information, but we cannot yet confirm the news.

Harry’s Law has been renewed for a second season by NBC.

Law & Order: LA has been cancelled by NBC.

No surprises there.

Wonder Woman has been picked up to series by NBC, but no information yet on its scheduling.

Really disappointed that Lie to Me is gone. Not totally surprised, but very disappointed. Less surprised, and less disappointed, about Human Target, but I felt that the second season just wasn't as good as the first. Still will miss both, especially Lie to Me.

Fox Cancels Comedy 'Breaking In' And Drama 'Human Target'
I'm surprised Breaking In got canceled already. I didn't mind the show but I'm certainly not sad by the cancellation. What I don't understand is why didn't Fox move Breaking In to Tuesdays after Raising Hope to see how it's ratings were there? It's ratings were good following Idol (although it lost most of Idol's audience) and if it could have gotten comparable ratings on Tuesdays it certainly would have merited a renewal.

Premise wise, there wasnt really room for growth. The concept never merited more than the 7 episodes it got. Ratings were ok, but that's not always what matters. You need to look at the future.

I really enjoy Human Target - but I'm not surprised it's going. I was really starting to enjoy Breaking In, too. For some reason my preference for quirky comedy rarely translates into a series with a long tenure. Thank god for the 2 year COMMUNITY renewal.

After all that eh "retooling" and casting changes, makes NBC look even more stupid for ending The Mothership.

I agree...this was a very good series, especially as a filler in the summer but I thought still held it's own pretty well this past fall.

I wonder if another network would pick this up??

Thanks

Networks almost never pick up canceled shows unless they produced it. Medium, Scrubs, and Southland were all picked up by networks owned by their producing companies. As Lie to Me was produced by Fox I would say it's pretty much 100% dead.

Never got into Chicago Code. I wanted it to be a show about Cal Lightman's ex, with potential for cross-over episodes with Lie to Me. I hoped for that when I saw it was that actress (can't think of her name) but then I saw she was a cop, instead of a lawyer, or D.A., I knew it wasn't to be.

Jennifer Beals

I never got into Lie to Me, LOVE Tim Roth but god what a boring show, not for me. I was a much much bigger fan of Chicago than I ever could have been for Lie to Me. I'm just hoping that now with both shows dead we can get Jason and Tim onto something together, that would be amazing!

In case anyone hasn't been paying attention:

CHUCK officially picked up for season 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Likely a 13 episode season. Good to see a network that has made some bad decisions make the right one here and give Chuck a chance to wrap everything up for its cult following.
