We were a lot better since although Paramount defected, that very action woke up one of our 800 lb gorillas named FOX.

There is a difference in how "we" were supposed to react to the paramount deal VS the Warner changing sides.

Warner chose after carefully considering what the consumers wanted - Paramount chose to be bribed into lieing about the lesser format being better for everyone.

Not only were we shocked by the insane descision to go HD-DVD by Paramount, but also all the BS they pulled.
"HDi is so good - we never really understood how we should hire any of the 10 million java coders out there to do BD-J which is btw not as powerful"

I hope they are crying right now, CRYING

AVS was an HDDVD strong hold, not to mention in the grip of MS. So it shouldbe no surprise there is a slight meltdown.

The Bland was cracking me up with some of his posts though.

Remember too the BDA's response - they were upset but still had reason to be upbeat with a still superior 4Q lineup including Pirates, Spidey, Superbad, Pixar Films, Die Hard, etc.

I don't think BD supporters were as bad. We knew that the only reason Paramount chose HD-DVD was the bung. No other reason. Mr Micheal Bay echoed these sentiment (then withdrew them (presumably under pressure)), before reinforcing them. HD-DVD fanboys will not have this consolation. Sales figures and quality were their Waterloo.

HD-DVD was always yesterdays technology, they should not be surprised!!!

we shouldn't consider them "them" or us..."us" anymore..

some of these people will become..."us"

we must stop separating and start joining if we want to take down DVD...

don't fool yourself , there are many, many of them that will not buy blu-ray, they have stated they will go back to dvd or do downloads.

but your right too, a lot of them are buying blu-ray players and are part of our blu family.
