Default Teac R2R

Recently integrated a very nice vintage Teac X1000R into the audio room. Thought I'd share a pick of the new setup. (A few new pics are also in my audio gallery).

Recorded some Pink Floyd this weekend with extremely satisfying results!

Thanks guys! Yep, a happy camper here. (Until the next upgrade bug sets in)

Stopped off a a local Magnapan dealer last week and listened to the new Maggie 1.7's. OMG! I've never heard Dire Straits sound like that. Next upgrade bug has already bit hard.

Working out the politics with Lisa now, but I don't know if I'm winning yet.

You know how much I love my Totem's, but if there is one speaker I would replace them with it's those Maggies. The sound is completely different, but they are so revealing, it's impossible to ignore them!

I'm pulling for you Fred!

Don't have any good blackmail material, but I've got the bribe machine in full swing!

I'd describe the sound as riveting at times. Such a huge soundstage and such dynamic slam. I'm going to Houston next week to visit my brother for a few days. I already have the address of the Houston Maggie dealer and will drop in for a listen with Lisa in tow. We'll see how that goes.
