Don't own any duplicates - I spend enough on getting the films I want without getting differnt versions/packaging of the same films, missus would kill me if that started

Only duplicate i own is Avatar - single disc and extended versions (yes i got sucked in by the hype and bought the bare bones).

It would take a lot for me to double up in most cases, cant even think of a time when ive doubled up on dvd's other than to replace damaged discs.

I couldn't ever justify buying for a new slipcaes/cover/steelbook. Extras would only be a reason in a small collection of my fave films. My main reason would probably be extended editions/directors cuts and only then versions that add something to the original............non of the 2 mins extra footage 'specials' that offer nothing other than a slightly extended chase scene

None, but I can see there are sometimes good reasons to DD. If you have the spare cash, why not?

Avatar Theatrical, and Extended Collectors (Plan on giving the first to a friend, when she upgrades to blu)

Fantasia and Fantasia Double Play (Double play was a gift, and first part of the Fantasia/2000 Boxset)

That's it for blu-rays, but check this

Lord of the Rings Theatrical Seperate Editions
Lord of the Rings Theatrical Boxset
Lord of the Rings Collectors Edition with Models
Lord of the Rings Extended Seperate Editions
Lord of the Rings Extended Boxset
Lord of the Rings Extended Limited Editions, Lithographs
Lord of the Rings Theatrical Blu-Rays

and will be getting the extended blus on day one!

Are we just talking Blu-ray duplicates here? Cos dvds I have quite a few On BD though I only have a couple so far...

Avatar Like several others here I bought the bare bones release, then later the extended version.

Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada Bought the UK release which I then found out was 1080i (+4% PAL speed-up). Recently bought the german one which is 1080p and slightly superior PQ.

Pirates of The Caribbean - Curse of the Black Pearl Was completely unaware of the framing issues on this when I bought it on ebay (no wonder they were selling it!). By the time I found out it was to late to return it so bought the newer (corrected) version.

Casino Royale: DVD - US and Australian version; BR - Australian standard and German Steelbook.

I have been slowly selling my DVDs and using the money to buy the BR versions, although there are a few i'm going to hold onto until all players are region free.

Since my first post, I've sold my spare Despicable Me disc and put the other 4 (BD3D, BD, DVD, DC) in a 4-disc amaray with the triple play artwork, so I have no more duplicates. I don't really count Alice in Wonderland as I only have the packaging and the DC disc for the Superset.

I don't have any duplicates on DVD either as I've sold them all. The only one I've got now is Mamma Mia! and that's only because the BD came with the player and I already had the DVD.

At one point I went mad on avatar. I had all of these:
Avatar Uk TE Steelbook
Avatar UK TE slipcover edition
Avatar UK collectors EE
Avatar UK Limited Collectors EE
Avatar Australian JBHifi exclusive tin EE
Avatar Russian EE slipcover version
Avatar Chinese EE Steelbook
Avatar Korean EE Steelbook
Avatar Hong Kong TE IronPack Giftset
Avatar French Ultimate Collectors EE

Hmm lol. I got rid of the Aus tin and the Asian steelbooks and ironpack. I was planning on getting other editions at one point haha. But I'm trying to get rid of the rest so I just have the UK releases I think.

I feel your pain brother. I think if there's one film I didn't want free with my BD player it would be Mamma Mia! I think it must be part of every player/discs bundle.

I've still got my two copies of Scott Pilgrim Steelbook. Play.com sent me an extra one by accident. I am yet still to sell the sealed copy. I'll sell it when I can be bothered.
