So I am wondering, will I have to do that process each time? (Going to the XMB, then eject the disc). Or can I just eject the disc as soon as the "Switch to disc 2" screen comes up?

The reason why I am asking, is because I dont want to do anything that could mess up my ps3.
Pushing the eject button at any time should not tear up your PS3. Also, I just wiki'd Randy Savage, I did not know that. May he rest in peace.

OOOOOOOOH YEEEEAAAAAH!

Maybe they're leftovers of those that Applause put out years ago (without the light up gift box).

Also, looks like they price-matched Amazon on the set. "On sale" for $83.99

I'm not sure that I could carry the burden of the The One Ring to rule them all.

So is this just via their website or can you go to their store and pickup the ring with a $10 pre-order?

Former video game store manager of 13+years, and I can assure you that ejecting a disc at any given moment can in no way shape or form harm your game system or any other device. When watching a blu the PS3 is in playback mode and will act as any other dedicated player.

I am so excited for these. Just watched the DVD's back in Feb. when I bought my Oppo. I am glad the are redoing the transfer for Fellowship, it looked the worst upscaled. These are going to look and sound beautiful. Looking forward to digging in to all the supplements again, especially the Botes documentaries for the first time.

About 100%

All WB titles are region free... The DVD's on the other hand will be region 1.

Did anybody else try pre-ordering this just to see if it would work?

Even though I'm almost %100 sure it will get cancelled, it couldn't hurt to try right?

Why would it get cancelled, they did the EXACT same thing with the sticker book preorder for the TE BD's. Its just a preorder thing, you preorder the movies, You'll receive this in the mail, then take your order number/receipt with you when you go to pick up your movies and they will take $10.00 off. Worked like a charm when I preorded TE.

Or... you can forget about that stupid "Best Buy exclusive!!" ring, go to Boders.com and use this code, BLP2566Y, to get the boxset (or any other item, actually) at 50%.

(hurry up, code expires today!)

Tried that.
LOTR it only took off 25% to make it total $62.49 as it counts the online discount of 25% already.

Also star wars it said "discount code does not apply" & it stayed like $93.

So no dice....are you sure its any item ?

Well, it's 50% off the list price, of course, not off the already reduced price.

And as for why it does not apply to the SW boxset, beats me. Sorry.

Back before the TE BDs came out, there were people here with screenshots of the BDs, complaining about grain, DNR, etc.

Has anyone gotten advanced copies of the EEs to see if FOTR has better PQ?

Is there an example of PQ of FOTR TE online somewhere handy? Curious to see what that looks like...

You know I haven't heard anything yet, and yeah it was probably about a month in advance when people started complaining last time so they should be popping up soon.
