If the going gets weird, the weird one keeps on buying those weird Criterion Cases.

In other Criterion related news, my copy of Solaris is "out for delivery" from the PO and should be here in a bit! I'd love to watch this tonight if I am not sleepy...I know it's quite lengthy!!
Mine should be arriving today as well. woot!

I ordered Topsy Turvy and Howard's End today from Amazon US, even though I'm only going to get par on my credit card, I'm still saving 20 dollars, even with shipping and import tax added, than if I had done the same order on Canadian Amazon. I'm going to pick off a few of my wish list piece by piece.

The Great Dictator was absolutely hysterical. The picture quality of the Blu-ray was also fantastic. Very glad I bought it. Solaris will be tonight.

Great announcements for the UK over the past few days. There was Empire of Passion yesterday and now Harakiri and The Ballad of Narayama today. Not Criterion related but I thought you'd be interested

Hey I like Zoolander. Sure its dumb over the top garbage, but sometimes that kind of stuff is fun to watch.

Just used the Borders 50% off and Free Priority shipping to get The Great Dictator. Can't wait! It should go along nicely with my Flicker Alley Chaplin at Keystone!

Does Borders have that available online? I didn't find it in a search.

Is yours showing up as backorderered? It's weird because on my main account page the status said "in process" and I even got a fedex tracking number, but when I check the order details, the status says, backordered.

the difference between the MGM Versions of both Paths of Glory and especially Sweet Smell of Success compared to the Criterion Blu-Ray's is nothing short of astounding, let's hope they can do the same with The Killing.
