May have to pull the trigger, that's the lowest I've seen (especially since I'm pretty sure the US release will be exactly the same and cost twice as much) It works out to be about $36 shipped to the US.

Says it's 17.99 pounds, but it pops up at regular price in cart. Too bad.

It's now £36.99 at HMV. My copy is on its way from Amazon, got it for £21.50 with free super saver shipping! I think the best price for the moment on this set is at base.com at £25.09 + shipping.

Waiting for the apparently "stunningly remastered" versions to come out next year, if it does come out here, or if by remastered, they mean this one coming out in the US.

I thought that the upcoming 'remastered' version is just for the US and contains only the same UK discs?

Well, the news item was rather vague about the whole thing. https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=5904

It'll be the same transfers. There's no way Warner Bros would do a third transfer of the first two films. Compared to the original releases of 1 & 2 they are stunning, not because they are incredible (though they are overall extremely good) but because of some of the major issues with the initial releases.

If you plan to buy the films the UK set is the way to go. You'll be hard pressed to find the US release to be as cheap when it comes out, the discs will likely be the same and you don't need to wait. As for extra features, who knows what will be included but it depends on if you view that as a reason to wait to see whether it pans out to be anything of value, assuming of course that there is something new on there or rather simply new for the US just as the transfers would be.

I'll probably pick this set up, seems to be pretty good, and yeah, it'll probably the same transfers. Great movies.

Just got mine through the post today, picked it up for £17.99 from HMV, Its a shame its the bigger box, I prefer the slim ones a lot more than these.

Its just way too clumsey! The hinge gets jammed unless you close it in a certain way and the plastic disc holders fall out very easily. If thats the same case as the newer prints of the Alian Anthology then Im glad I got the digipack.

One good thing though is that the slipcase is still embosed, I assume the thiner one was too from some of the pics I've seen.

Just don't understand why they would go bigger when you can get entire TV series in a case the size of a standard amaray like Lost series 5 and 6 are, and the 1st run of this set itself, guess WB dont care too much about their carbon footprint

I also got mine through today, and it is also the thicker case . I have kept it sealed if anybody wants to trade me their thinner case version, even if its used. But it must be in mint condition. PM me.

The only reason I can see why Warners Bros. adopted the large case is it accomodates the Red Tag security slot when the slimmer one doesn't (there isn't enough room for four discs and the slot in a slim case (I think)). And they packed them with the spine facing out so it would be useless if it did have the slot lol.

I'd prefer separate cases for separate films....

I agree with this. I have the Director's Cut DVDs for 1-3 and wanted to use 2-Disc Viva Elites for them along with Lethal Weapon 4 with the bonus disc when I order this and when it arrives. But I think that'd be too large to fit into the slipbox it's in, correct?

Damn nice. Comes to, with today's conversion used by Amazon UK, $31.02 USD which is $6.20 per Blu-ray disc. Practically a steal for importers such as myself.
Dammit I'm running out of shelf space very quickly. Time to buy a new one.
