I did not think that I would like Cover Affairs, I find it hard to believe that a girl can go around beating guys up. I have only fallen for that while watching Sarah Walker in Chuck. Though in Covert Affairs you see Annie making mistakes and getting beat up. Its one of my guilty pleasure shows that I watch, even though I know its cheezy as hell.

Yeah I find some shows hard to watch when even though the girl has been trained she's skinny or small and can still beat up huge ass guys that look like they could tear her to pieces. Same with some guys in shows.

I was thinking about giving the show another go though and see if I can get into it this time.

Just couldn't get into Covert Affairs, don't buy Piper Perabo as a Secret Agent. But will watch when Oded Fehr return in S2 for another eppy.

Just will tune her out and drool over him.

Yeah that's what turned me off. I just couldn't see her being a secret agent and fighting off all the people that attack/try and kill her.

Watched the series premiere last night and I'm hooked. I'm sure some viewers will try to draw parallels between this and other USA shows (such as White Collar and Covert Affairs) and maybe they share some of the same writers, but I think the writing on Suits is just a tad bit sharper than White Collar. Gabriel Macht is tailor-made (no pun intended) for the role of Harvey Specter: he's everything you love and hate in lawyers. A sharp dresser and smooth talker that oozes arrogance and self-exaltation, but not in the same vein as Neal Caffrey; unlike Neal, Harvey is both a figure of admiration and repugnance at the same time. Patrick J. Adams is fine in the role of Mike Ross, Harvey's associate, but I think viewers will tune in for the Harvey character rather than Mike: Harvey's just more interesting.

Strong Start For 'Suits'
Quote:
USA Network's light legal drama Suits got off to a solid ratings start last night, especially on the demo side, drawing 4.6 million viewers, 2 million of them in the adults 18-49 demographic. That is only 3% down in the demo from USA's summer premiere last year of Covert Affairs. Versus USA's most recent series debut, the midseason launch of Fairly Legal, Suits was up by double digits, 47% in 18-49. Suits held onto a large chunk of its lead-in, the fifth-season premiere of Burn Notice (5.2 million, 2.3 million in 18-49), which was down from last summer's record-breaking fourth-season premiere (6.6 million, 2.6 million in 18-49) but up by double digits from the winter debut.

I caught the first two episodes on demand last night and its interesting, no where near the overacting or fake junk that is necessary roughness.
