Audio Question - Might Sound a Tad Foolish, but Hey!

what receiver? (also check receiver setting and make sure HDMI Audio out is set to OFF.)

also, depending on your receiver, it may not process HDMI audio...in this case you should set the PS3 to output as Bitstream.

It's a Samsung Reciever. Maybe it does not process HDMI as I could not get surround with my HD box untill I got an optical cable.

set the PS3 HDMI audio to output as Bitstream. If youre still getting 2 channel sound, then you may need to connect the Optical cable as well. (and then set Optical audio output to bitstream also)

I Just set the 2 to bitstream and I am now getting Surround

Most HTIB's come with cheap speakers that are only rated at 6 ohms. I wouldn't pair those up with these newer receivers as most of them are rated at 8 ohms. If you want max output then I'd suggest you get 8 ohm speakers.
