250 GB PS3 play SACD?

The spec sheet here at br.c says the 250 slim plays SACDs.... is this true?

From my understanding the ability to playback SACD's was removed in the third and fourth generation PS3 models.

According to Wikipedia only certain 20GB, 60GB and 80GB models have SACD playback capability.

It would raise the manufacturing cost, so it's not likely Sony would let new PS3s would support SACD.

So are you saying the Wikipedia info on the SACD-capable PS3's is wrong? Playstation 5??? Everybody knows Wikipedia isn't 100% accurate, tell me something new.

Yes, but even our beloved Bluray.com says the 250GB is SACD capable. Since this info is user-generated, could someone with a 250GB please confirm or prove wrong this info? Does anybody with a 250GB PS3 slim paly SACD's on their unit???

Also according to the PS3 SACD FAQ, the 250GB unit is not SACD-compatible.

I cannot find ANY official site/ manual that plainly states that the 320 GB PS3 slim has the hardware for HDMI 1.4.

Can anyone confirm that it does??? Any official site that states this?

I'm torn between a 160GB (which Blu-ray.com says is 1.3 HDMI compliant) or the 320 (which BR.C says has 1.4)

I want something that does lossless audio AND 3D simultaneously (therefore, I believe I need HDMI 1.4 hardware, not just the software update, which I understand will not do lossless and 3D at the same time)

Can anyone confirm that ANY PS3 Slims have HDMI 1.4 hardware on board???

Does it have to be official? This site states that it doesn't. V1.3c yes, V1.4 no.
