No, these titles sell decently enough on their own to warrant keeping them separate.

Who knows. I got an e-mail saying that Amazon would send it out earlier than expected. I'm not complaining.

That would be an awkward set because both cartoons aren't in the same continuity. I tried to make sense of the two, thinking of EK as taking place within FF, but it just doesn't work.

If they were in the same continuity, since Hal Jordan and Sinestro are Green Lanterns, the events of EK would take place within FF. Like a couple scenes that were missing from FF. It's hard to buy that, considering the huge events that happen in it. At the beginning of EK, the Guardians deem it necessary to relocate the Central Power Battery from Oa for a while.

The plot of EK is basically about trained and experienced Hal Jordan telling the rookie, Arisia Rrab, stories of the Green Lantern Corps. In FF, Arisia is already a Green Lantern when Hal joins.

There are a bunch of little things. Anyway, I liked it. It gave nice individual stories of Kilowog, Abin Sur, Laira, and the first Green Lanterns. Apparently, these stories are based on actual comics. The Blu-ray has some good documentaries about Green Lantern, to be a hero and without fear, and Geoff Johns (amazing Green Lantern writer).

The pictures look good, though reports of banding again on an animated DC project are a little troubling.

Hoping to hear Best Buy will have an exclusive figure with the set soon.

Hoping for Sinestro, to go with my Hal Jorden from the last set.

I also had assumed that BB was going to have an exclusive figure, but we are pretty close to release date without any info on it yet. Usually BB.com would have an item listing for an exclusive version by now, but without pictures or additional details about what the exclusive is. What other ones didn't get figures? The only one I remember not getting one was DC Showcase Superman/Shazam.

The last set was a last minute listing. So we'll see what happens.

And yeah, that one didn't have one... most likely due to the nature of the release.

I just searched "Green Lantern Blu-ray" on BB's site and only got First Flight, both with and without the figure, and Emerald Knights. I comes out next Tuesday, a week from today, so not seeing anything about an exclusive fig makes me . And the fact that they still have the with-figure version of First Flight makes we wonder if BB finally decided to do away with them if they're not really selling out. Guess we'll know soon...

On a related note, I pre-order the DC Direct Green Lantern Movie Prop Ring and it's supposed to come in tomorrow to my comic shop. Finger's crossed it's on time!

Now you just need a power battery from Oa. DC Comic fans might want to check out the stunning developments announced today on comic sites. In August, every single book is being relaunched from scratch.

Sadly it turns out the Sinestro figure is a Green Lantern version.
I'm betting they did the same thing they did with White Superman. It's just a new head.

Yeah, it's in the flyers this week as well. Is that a standard 5" figure with a mini display stand?.

That is much better cover art than the standard edition.

I actually disagree. I do like that there are more colors on it, but I like the original more because it features more of the Lanterns. Man, Tuesday can't come soon enough. Amz better hurry up. Then the very next day is Super 8!

It will be an entirely new sculpt, the Hal Jordan that came with First Flight was an articulated figure based on Mattel's Infinite Heroes line.
